Forest Hill Baptist Church was founded in 1914 as a member church of the Southern Baptist Convention and is active in missions (local, national, and international).  The people and the facilities have changed over the years, though our purpose and message have remained the same.  We are a body of Christ’s followers who seek to glorify Him in our worship, witness and fellowship.   The good news that Jesus died to save us and lives to empower us is the message we seek to share with all people. 

 

The most recent construction, completed in 2002, added a fellowship/recreation facility and new classrooms to accommodate our growth.  Also, the facilities are accessible to those who have difficulty walking or may use a wheelchair.

 

Our Purpose

 

The work of our church is based on the purpose of our church.  The purpose of Forest Hill Baptist Church is as follows: To Glorify God by reaching people with the gospel and assimilating them into the body of Christ.  We have four objectives; evangelize the lost, disciple the saved, minister to needs and be a conscience in the community.   Changed lives and strengthened families are the results of effective ministries.

Forest Hill Baptist Church agrees with the biblical doctrine and theology as stated in "The Baptist Faith & Message" of the SBC.
